| 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament! - June 26th |
We need help. There is a need to identify golfers and sponsors for this event. Remember, you can help by
purchasing a Tee sign for $100.00 and/or attend the golf dinner at the Knights of Columbus Hall, at 214 Ave. I ,
Redondo Beach, CA. This year marks 20 years of hosting a Charity Golf Tournament. This venture allows the LAFD
Sertoma Club and the Torrance Sertoma Club an opportunity to collaborate for a few worthy causes. Charity
proceeds will be directed to South Bay Charity agencies, our Toy Program and LAFD Community events. This is a
fun event scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Los Verdes Golf Course, 7000 W. Los Verdes Drive, Rancho

| Wild West District Leadership Conference - Aug 1st |
A lot of networking and training occurred at the Mountain West Regional Conference. There is a push for all clubs to
attend the Sertoma International Conference scheduled for July 23 – 25, in Nashville, Tenn. Discussions were held
regarding club projects, and a proposal made for a Wild West District Leadership Conference on Sat., August 1,
2009, in the Los Angeles area was approved. The Leadership Conference will be held at the LAFD Training Center,
1700 Stadium Way, Los Angeles, CA 90012. More to follow.....
